The Benefit Concert for Lyme Disease went very well. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and contributed. Thank you to the many people who contributed online. The money we've raised will help our friend very much. You all were so generous, we're very grateful, and she is as well. We're hoping to be able to make a live CD consisting of parts of this show and of other shows in Zion we've done in the past while. Stay tuned for more on that. Thanks again everyone!

Ave Imperatrix
by Oscar Wilde
Set in this stormy Northern sea,
Queen of these restless fields of tide,
England! what shall men say of thee,
Before whose feet the worlds divide?
The earth, a brittle globe of glass,
Lies in the hollow of thy hand,
And through its heart of crystal pass,
Like shadows through a twilight land,
I've had two new reviews on my latest record The Houses of Healing.
Check them out below. If you wish to listen to, or purchase the record visit www.thehousesofhealing.net. Thanks for your support as always. - Dave
It is a perfect winter album – fitting for a time of elongated hours, of
stillness and quiet. A time of drawing in and looking in. A time of being
within. Its sound evokes all of this, yet its lyrics speak to an interior
life of upheaval and change. It is an album of contradiction and clarity,
of simplicity and great depth.
The Houses of Healing is the ninth studio album from Springdale-based
singer/songwriter Dave Tate. And here, he is at his best. Houses combines
Tate’s soulful voice, his intimate acoustic style and poetic lyrics into a
singular sound experience. It is haunting, moving, alive and hopeful. This
album is capable of inspiring both tears and contemplative silence. It is
capable of acting as ambient background music or as soul-stirring
instigator. Such is the talent of Dave Tate.
Today the Houses of Healing, my newest solo CD,
is available at CDBaby, as a digital download and/or a physical cd,
iTunes, Amazon and most online retailers.
This is my most intimate album to date.
One of my fans described this cd as "Meditative Folk"
We did a photo shoot with amazing photographer and good friend Paul Duane for our coming albums.
Lots of pics, talks and some amazing Mole at Red Iguana. Good times.

Hosting a House Concert:
Do you like to organize events?
Do you know 20 people or more
who would enjoy some inspiring, intimate music ?
If so you are probably the perfect person to host a house concert It doesn't have to cost you anything - your friends can give a donation for the music at the door. We'd love to share our music and stories with you!
House concerts are, all around, our favorite shows to play.
The intimate setting and closeness of the people in the room
allows us to interact with you in a much more personal
way than a traditional show allows.

Trusting her instincts
Was the hardest thing she ever did.
There was the wimpy little voice inside her,
Cautioning her not to take the risk.
There were times along the way
When she was so scared she almost quit.
But she listened to the whisperings of her heart.
My new album is coming together step by step. I had 20 songs to record this time and I am still doing vocals for some of them. Twelve songs will be on the album. I have no release date and I am fine with that. This music can't be forced. Like nature it has perfect timing. Blessings!
I've been putting together a tour for the fall - looking forward to seeing more of this beautiful country. Some beautiful new nature and some beautiful new people.
Victoria and I have been writing our best material yet...
On a writing spree for duo material and solo material.
We're looking forward to upgrading our recording system later this summer.
Than we'll start recording all the ideas that are incubating.
Our shows at the St. George Art festival were lots of fun. Thanks to all of you who made it out!
We have returned from our second European tour to Sweden and the Netherlands.
I want to say Thank You again to the people who helped make this trip possible for us.
Michel Boere was amazing and as welcoming as we could imagine at De Slotplaats.
He is the photographer who took the amazing pictures and video below.
Eddy Busch was equally amazing at the house concert we performed in his home.
It's amazing to meet such great people and to see new parts of the world.
The Dutch people really know how to listen.
I also want to thank the late Tony Sanner for starting this whole
tradition of performing in the Netherlands. Tony was a huge fan
of our music and his enthusiasm, and open hearted spirit will be missed.
We recently spent two Days performing at the Kayenta Art Festival. What a great time!
Thanks to everyone who came to see us.
Kayenta is a beautiful area and we hope to return soon.
